A NOTE FROM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, ROBIN BYRNE

Updated: May 22, 2020

I hope that everyone is staying safe and well and following the social distancing guidelines to stay that way. We are still awaiting some news on when the restrictions will begin to lift but as we still seem to be in the throes of this pandemic it doesn’t look promising or safe to open up too soon. Rest assured that when the day does arrive we will be ready with social distancing seating plans that will allow you to sit and watch a play or musical seated safely from others not in your party. We have started conversations with the Washington Pavilion Management team and proposed our own solution to this problem that will make coming to the theatre safer than going shopping.

Our progress with the Radio Plays has been very satisfying to see. If you have not yet tuned in to one of our Friday Night Live Streams then go to www.siouxfallstheatre.com and look them up under Radio Plays. You can listen to all of them there for free. I would like to thank Dana Dykhouse and Miles Beacom from First Premier Bank and First Premier Bankcard for helping us financially with sponsorship for these radio plays. We are so grateful and in times such as these, with no other opportunities to generate income, we rely on donations from everyone. It takes over 20 hours of technical input to produce each show and when you tackle shows such as Alice in Wonderland and War of the Worlds, even many more hours than that. Our team is doing a truly splendid job and if you can make a donation, however small, then please do so by clicking on the 120 Club link and making either a one time donation or a regular monthly donation. Every dollar helps us to keep our volunteers and audience engaged and involved in community theatre. Thank you to all who have already given. Stay safe and may your God go with you.
