A Note from our President, Rick Weiland

We continue to make progress in achieving our Season 17 goals of improving the overall quality of our main stage shows AND securing our financial future. Jesse Jensen, our new Production Manager, brings with him an impressive resume of live theatre production experience and an easy to work with demeanor. Jesse has played a critical role in growing our partnership with the Washington Pavilion and will be vital in helping us exceed audience expectations, taking the quality of our main stage shows to the next level.

This is the first season in several years where we have secured full sponsorships for each of our main stage shows. We'd like to give special thanks to the following businesses and families: Sandhills Publishing, Sanford Health, Dan and Arlene Kirby, De and Dave Knudson, MSH Architects, Lloyd Companies, First National Bank, and Culvers. Through their support, these sponsors demonstrate a leadership commitment to enhancing the quality of life of our community.

We continue to work to improve our financial position while expanding our efforts to fulfill our mission to make live theatre affordable in the Sioux Empire. We are proud to introduce the 120 Club. Patrons may make a monthly recurring donation of $10 which will be earmarked for complimentary tickets to local causes that support people who might never otherwise see a live theatrical performance. If you would like to join in this effort, please go to our website, SiouxFallsTheatre.com and click on 120 Club.

I hope you have your tickets purchased for our upcoming production of Ken Ludwig's Lend Me A Tenor. The Valentine’s Day preview dinner theatre at ICON Lounge and Event Hall was sold out and it was an excellent performance. The show will open on the main stage at the Orpheum Theater on Thursday, February 20th for a 10 day run. ORDER YOUR TICKETS TODAY!

On a final note, at times maintaining a successful non-profit, community-based theatre can be somewhat of a challenge. I can never thank the staff, board members and volunteers enough, for giving of their precious time and many talents. We are strong today because of you and we will get stronger each and every day with your continued support.
