Sioux Empire Community Theatre Named Recipient of Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation Grant
The Sioux Empire Community Theatre has been named a recipient of a $2,450 grant from the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation to support its summer camps program.
“At the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation, we believe a thriving community is one where people and families feel safe and have equal access to the resources they need for their health and well-being,” said Patrick Gale, Vice President, Community Investment. “That’s why we’re proud and honored to support this outstanding organization and the important work it’s doing to help our neighbors in need.”
“We are excited to receive this award from the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation. We plan to use the grant funds toward summer camp scholarships, assisting those who may not be able to financially afford theatre camp. We are very grateful for the community support,” said Erin Mulvany, Grants Coordinator for the Sioux Empire Community Theatre.
About The Sioux Empire Community Theatre
The Sioux Empire Community Theatre (SECT) was incorporated in 2003 and is now in its sixteenth season. SECT’s mission is to provide quality, affordable community theatre accessible to all residents of the Sioux Empire; and to provide hands-on learning experiences in the greater Sioux Empire community in all aspects of volunteer-driven theatre performance and production. To that end, the Sioux Empire Community Theatre offers courses and performance opportunities for all ages.

Disney’s 101 Dalmatians KIDS for grades 1-5, July 8-14, 2019
Peter Pan, Jr. for grades 6-12, August 6-18, 2019
