Jackie Krouse has been on the Sioux Empire Community Theatre's board of directors for 3 years. Jackie is originally from the Chicago area but graduated from the University of South Dakota with a BS in Communication Studies and a minor in Art History. After graduation, Jackie returned to the Chicago area and began a career in business and explored painting as a hobby. Upon returning to Sioux Falls in 2005, Jackie took a serious interest in her artwork and began coursework in Fine Art. After creating an area in her home to paint on a consistent level, Jackie began selling her art. In the spring of 2015, Jackie opened the Gallery Studio at 8th & RR Center, with plans of continued expansion and marketing fellow local artists. Jackie's works are heavy texture with an earthy nature that balances texture and form. She has had her work in galleries in the New York and Miami areas.
